EQUALIZER I & II
THE LOAD EQUALIZER I & II , IS A RESISTOR STYLE
COMPONENT, IT IS PASSIVE ( IT CAN ONLY WORK WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL WIRES
HAVE POWER RUNNING THROUGH THEM ) . THE LOAD EQUALIZER IS ONLY DESIGNED TO
BE ACTIVE DURING THE OPERATION OF THE TURN SIGNALS. IF THE LOAD EQUALIZER
IS BURNT, THERE CAN BE ONLY THREE DIFFERENT SCENARIO'S FOR THAT TO HAPPEN.

SCENARIO ONE : WHEN THE OEM
SELF CANCELLER GOES OUT, IT ONLY GOES OUT IN TWO POSITIONS, OFF ALL THE
TIME OR ON ALL THE TIME. IF THE OEM CANCELLER GOES OUT IN THE OPEN ( ON )
POSITION , YOU WILL HAVE CONSTANT POWER GOING THROUGH THE LOAD EQUALIZER
AND THE LOAD EQUALIZER WILL MELT. IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR TURN SIGNAL IS
STAYING ON AND NOT CANCELING, DISCONNECT YOUR LOAD EQUALIZER AND REPLACE
THE OEM CANCELLER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THEN , RECONNECT YOUR LOAD
EQUALIZER . IF IT IS BURNT , YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE IT.

SCENARIO TWO :
IF YOU CONNECT YOUR LOAD EQUALIZER TO A DIRECT
POWER SOURCE YOU WILL ALSO MELT THE LOAD EQUALIZER. THIS IS MOST
COMMONLY DONE BY TYING INTO THE RUNNING LIGHT CIRCUIT IN THE FRONT OF THE
MOTORCYCLE , RATHER THAN THE TURN SIGNAL CIRCUIT.

SCENARIO THREE :
IF YOU HAVE A H-D BRAKE & TURN MODULE ( SEE WHICH LOAD EQUALIZER
SHOULD I USE ) , YOU WILL NEED TO USE OUR NEW LE-03

" IT DOESN’T WORK ,
OR IT ONLY WORKS ON ONE SIDE ". WE PROVIDE
SCOTCH LOCKS TO MAKE THE CONNECTION EASY FOR THE AVERAGE CUSTOMER TO
INSTALL THIS UNIT. SOMETIMES THE TANGS OF THE SCOTCH LOCK DO NOT MAKE THE
CONNECTION ONTO THE TURN SIGNAL WIRE. TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM GO BACK AND
WITH SMALL CHANNEL LOCKS MAKE SURE THE TANG IS SEATED ALL THE WAY DOWN
INTO THE PLASTIC OF THE SCOTCH LOCK.

LED’S OR A PRODUCT WITH A REALLY LOW WATTAGE BULB YOU NEED TO USE OUR
NEWEST FIX TO THIS PROBLEM , THE LOAD EQUALIZER III .

SORRY DUDE ! YOU NEED TO HAVE SOME KIND OF DRAW ON THE FRONT TURN SIGNAL
WIRES ALONG WITH THE LOAD EQUALIZER III. MAY I SUGGEST OUR
WAY COOL MAXIMUM LED MIRRORS , LED BOLT ONS OR WHISKERS
THAT CLIP AROUND YOUR STOCK MIRRORS . YOU HAVE TO PUT SOMETHING IN THE
FRONT WITH THE H-D OEM CANCELLER . UNLESS YOU ARE, USING OUR NEW ATS-03
AUTOMATIC TURN SIGNAL SHUT OFF MODULE III, THIS MODULE WILL RUN AS LITTLE
AS 8 LED's AS COMMONLY FOUND IN THE NEWER TURN SIGNALS .

I STILL THINK MINE IS
BROKEN: NO PROBLEM, SEND IT BACK TO US AND
WE WILL TEST THE UNIT FOR YOU. IF IT IS BURNT , DON’T SEND IT BACK BECAUSE
IT WAS THE FAULT OF THE OEM CANCELLER OR IT WAS HOOKED UP INCORRECTLY. WE
WILL REPLACE DEFECTIVE UNITS FREE OF CHARGE IF ANY OTHER DEFECTS ARE FOUND
IN THE UNIT.

| THESE
MODULES ARE DURABLE AND HAVE A LONG LIFE , ALL UNITS ARE TESTED BEFORE
THEY ARE PACKAGED AND SHIPPED. THE MOST COMMON PROBLEMS ARE : FROM NOT
FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP . TAKE YOUR TIME AND MAKE SURE
YOU USE HEAT SHRINK TO ENCASE YOUR WIRES. THE WIRES UNDER THE FENDER ,
ARE THE MOST VENERABLE TO SHORTS . THE WIRES NEED HEAT SHRINK , AND
SHOULD BE SECURELY FASTENED TO THE FENDER . MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE
GOOD TIRE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE WIRES AND THE TIRE !
MODULES ARE SHIPPED WITH INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOTH
OEM APPLICATION AND CUSTOM WIRING. IF YOU ARE BUILDING A BIKE,
HAVE A CUSTOM BIKE OR HAVE CUSTOM WIRING , YOU WILL USE THE CUSTOM
WIRING DIAGRAM . DO NOT MIX THESE , EITHER YOU HAVE A STOCK BIKE THAT
HAS NOT BEEN GOOFED AROUND WITH , OR YOU HAVE A BIKE THAT WAS PROBABLY
WORKED ON BY SOMEONE’S BUDDY , WHO KNEW A GUY THAT THOUGHT HE NEW HOW TO
WIRE A TOASTER OVEN , FOR USE IN A FISHING BOAT .
OEM WIRING : THE MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTION IS : WHY WON’T THE
TURN SIGNALS SHUT OFF ? LOOKING AT YOUR INSTRUCTIONS, ( ON STEP 5 & 6
AND 7 & 8 ON THE OLD 7 WIRE MODULE ) AND ( STEP 3 & 4 AND 5 & 6 ON
THE NEW 6 WIRE MODULE III ) THE INSTALLER FAILS TO SNIP THE
PURPLE AND BROWN WIRE. DO NOT " T " INTO THE PURPLE AND BROWN
WIRE, YOU MUST CUT THESE WIRES , TRUST ME ! THEN CONNECT THE
PURPLE WIRE FROM THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IN THE HANDLEBAR CONTROL LOOM
TO THE PURPLE WIRE ON THE MODULE , THEN THE SAME ON THE OTHER SIDE,
BROWN FROM THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH TO BROWN ON THE MODULE . "
BUT HOW DOES THE POWER GET BACK TO THE REAR TURN SIGNALS IF I CUT THAT
WIRE "!. ON ( STEP 9 & 10 ON THE OLD 7 WIRE MODULE ) AND ( STEP 7 & 8 ON
THE NEW 6 WIRE MODULE ) THE POWER GOES TO THE FRONT TURN SIGNALS , BACK TO
THE NYLON CONNECTOR , CROSSES OVER A JUNCTION BRIDGE , UP TO THE
INDICATORS AND CONTINUES BACK TO THE REAR TURN SIGNAL WIRES.
THE SIGNALS COME ON AND SHUT OFF, BUT DO NOT BLINK : ( ON THE
OLD 7 WIRE MODULE ) THIS IS A FLASHER PROBLEM , YOU PROBABLY PUT
SMALLER TURN SIGNALS ON. YOU CAN SOLVE THAT PROBLEM BY USING A LOAD
EQUALIZER OR REPLACING YOUR FLASHER WITH A HEAVY DUTY FLASHER, ( WAGNER #
552 - 2 PRONG HEAVY DUTY FLASHER ). IF YOU HAVE REAL SMALL BULBS YOU MAY
NEED BOTH THE LOAD EQUALIZER AND THE HEAVY DUTY FLASHER. IF YOU ARE
RUNNING LED’S . YOU NEED TO UPGRADE TO THE AUTOMATIC TURN SIGNAL VERSION
III , WHICH HAS A BUILT IN FLASHER THAT WILL RUN REALLY SMALL TURN SIGNALS
AND LED’S .
MY NEW VERSION III COMES ON AND THEN SHUTS OFF : THIS NEW MODULE
HAS THE FEATURE WHERE YOU CAN HIT IT , MAKE A LANE CHANGE , HIT IT AGAIN ,
AND IT WILL SHUT OFF . THE MODULE IS NOT WIRED CORRECTLY , IT IS
RUNNING IN A LOOP . AGAIN , THE PURPLE AND BROWN WIRE CAN ONLY BE
WIRED TO THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH . THESE WIRES GET THE MOMENTARY PULSE
OF POWER WHEN YOU PUSH IN THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH .
I THINK MINE IS BROKEN : IF THIS UNIT QUITS WORKING,
IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO JUST THROW IN ANOTHER MODULE . WHAT
PROBABLY HAPPENED IS ONE OF THE POWER WIRES RUBBED ON THE FENDER OR
FRAME THROUGH THE INSULATION EXPOSING THE BARE WIRE . IT TOUCHES METAL AND
IMMEDIATELY SHORTS OUT THE MODULE. UNTIL YOU LOCATE THE OFFENDING WIRE IT
WILL CONTINUE TO SHORT OUT A NEW MODULE , SO GET IN THERE AND TRACE DOWN
THAT SHORTED WIRE. WE DO WARRANTY ALL OF OUR PRODUCTS. SHIP US THE
MODULE AND WE WILL TEST IT FOR YOU. THE ONLY REASON WE WILL NOT WARRANTY
THIS MODULE IS IF IT WAS SHORTED AS STATED ABOVE , WE CAN TELL THIS
IMMEDIATELY ONCE IT IS HOOKED UP TO OUR TEST BOARD.
SHORTS , THINK ABOUT THIS . IF YOU TOOK A LONG BLADED
SCREW DRIVER AND TOUCHED ONE SIDE TO THE BATTERIES POSITIVE POST , AND PUT
THE OTHER SIDE ON THE BATTERIES NEGATIVE POST, HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE FOR
THE METAL BLADE TO START GLOWING ORANGE AND MELT . ABOUT 3 OR 4 SECONDS .
THAT’S WHAT A SHORT DOES TO AN ELECTRONIC MODULE . AS ABOVE STATED , TAKE
YOUR TIME , USE HEAT SHRINK AND AVOID SHARP EDGES OR CORNERS .
THE ILLUMINATOR MODULE
THE KEY TO INSTALLING THIS MODULE
IS TAKING YOUR TIME AND FOLLOWING THE
INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP. ROUTE THE WIRES CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU
ENCASE WIRES IN HEAT SHRINK TO INSURE AGAINST SHORTS. ALSO BE CAREFUL
OF TIRE CLEARANCE MAKE SURE WIRES ARE SECURELY FASTENED TO THE INSIDE OF
THE FENDER. THIS IS THE #1 CAUSE OF SHORTING OUT THESE MODULES,
YOUR TIRE WILL STRIP THE INSULATION OFF A WIRE IN A HEART BEAT AND CAUSE A
SHORT IN THE MODULE. AGAIN, TAKE YOUR TIME DURING THE INSTALLATION .
MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS : I DON’T HAVE A CIRCUIT
BREAKER LIKE THE ONE ON THE DIAGRAM.. THE NEWER BIKES HAVE WEDGE STYLE
AUTOMOTIVE CIRCUIT BREAKERS. SIMPLY LOCATE THE ( CIRCUIT BREAKER GROUP
HOLDER ) . COMING OUT OF THE HOLDER IS A BLUE WIRE, USE YOUR TEST LIGHT TO
PROBE THE BLUE WIRE, IT SHOULD NOT LIGHT UP UNTIL YOU TURN THE KEY ON. YOU
CAN ALSO USE A ORANGE WIRE OR ORANGE WIRE WITH A WHITE STRIPE , AS ABOVE ,
IT SHOULD BE OFF UNTIL THE KEY COMES ON . THIS IS THE WIRE YOU NEED TO
FIND FOR CONNECTING THE ORANGE WIRE ON STEP 10 IN REFERENCE TO YOUR
INSTRUCTION SHEET.
FAILURE TO CUT THE TURN SIGNAL WIRES : ON STEP 6 & 8 OF THE
INSTRUCTION SHEET, INSTALLERS FAIL TO SEE THE " CUT " , ON THE RIGHT
AND LEFT TURN SIGNAL WIRES .YOU MUST RUN THE TURN SIGNAL
POWER FROM THE CONNECTOR BLOCK , POWER IN TO THE MODULE AND POWER
OUT OF THE MODULE TO THE RIGHT AND LEFT REAR TURN SIGNALS . DUDE ! I
CAN’T MAKE THE " CUT " ANY BIGGER , PLEASE SEE YOUR LOCAL VISION
SPECIALIST .
YES, THIS MODULE DOES 3 FUNCTIONS ON A SINGLE FILAMENT BULB : THIS
MODULE WAS DESIGNED TO RUN A SINGLE FILAMENT BULB IN 3 MODES, RUNNING /
BRAKE / AND TURN SIGNAL . HARLEY’S USE AN 1156 AUTOMOTIVE BULB IN THE REAR
FOR A TURN SIGNAL, THAT IS WHAT THIS MODULE WAS DESIGNED AROUND, HOWEVER
IT WORKS JUST AS WELL WITH SMALLER STANDARD BULBS, HALOGEN BULBS AND
LED’S .
I HAVE DUAL FILAMENT BULBS : I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU TIE
BOTH OF YOUR TURN SIGNAL WIRES TOGETHER PRODUCING THE MOST AMOUNT OF
BRIGHTNESS ON ALL THREE FUNCTIONS. ON DUAL FUNCTION LED TURN SIGNALS , YOU
DO THE SAME THING . TWIST TOGETHER THE LOW AND HIGH INTENSITY WIRES
( CAREFUL YOUR NOT TWISTING THE GROUND WIRE WITH THE ABOVE MENTIONED
WIRES ) , LET THE MODULE DO THE CONTROLLING .
CAN I USE THIS ON A BIKE OTHER THAN A HARLEY OR CUSTOM V-TWIN?
THERE ARE
TWO PROBLEMS FOR OTHER BIKES, THE FIRST PROBLEM IS: ARE RED LENSES
AVAILABLE FOR YOUR TURN SIGNALS, OR CLEAR LENSES WITH A RED BULB
OR RED LED INSERTS? IT IS ILLEGAL TO RUN AMBER IN THE REAR, THAT
IS ON CONSTANTLY, THEREFORE YOU MUST RUN RED LENSES IN THE REAR OF
YOUR MOTORCYCLE. PROBLEM TWO: IF YOU PUT SMALLER TURN SIGNALS ON ,
THEY WILL FLASH MUCH FASTER THAN NORMAL , WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING
BUT IT DOES ANNOY SOME PEOPLE.

MODULES 100 % . AGAIN, LIKE THE AUTOMATIC TURN SIGNAL SHUT OFF MODULE , IF
A POWER LEAD RUBS ON THE FRAME AND THE INSULATION COMES OFF AND TOUCHES
THE FRAME OR FENDER, YOU HAVE A DIRECT SHORT . FEEL FREE TO SEND ANY
MODULE IN QUESTION BACK TO US AND WE WILL TEST IT ON OUR TEST BOARD ,
PROVIDING IT IS NOT SHORTED OUT ( BURNT ) WE WILL REPLACE IT AT NO CHARGE.
